GoHighLevel Social Planner for Mortgage Teams: Connect the Accounts, Draft Three Campaigns

By Alex Regueiro · October 25, 2026 · 5 min read

After a brand change, one mortgage team's Google Business Profile still showed the old branding, and none of its social channels were connected to the CRM.

The client is a mortgage branch leader working with a second leader. On a strategy call we connected the social accounts to GoHighLevel and agreed on three starter campaigns. If you run a team of mortgage loan officers, the sequence is worth copying: connect first, decide campaigns second, collect inputs third.

The situation

The team was ready to start marketing through the CRM, but no social channel was connected to it. A company-level brand change added a second problem: the Google Business Profile still carried the previous company's branding.

What was broken

Two things needed attention, and they had different owners.

  • No social channel was connected to the CRM, so campaigns could not be planned or scheduled where the contacts live.
  • The Google Business Profile still reflected the old branding, which undermined local search presence after the brand change. Updating it was assigned to the second leader on the call.

What we built

We connected the Facebook Business Page and Instagram to GoHighLevel's Social Planner. With the accounts attached, we aligned on three initial campaigns:

  • Event outreach for an industry networking event, with a single RSVP link on an event ticketing page so every invitation points to one destination.
  • An agent-recruiting campaign, with its own booking-calendar button.
  • A loan-officer-recruiting campaign, with its own booking-calendar button.

What we needed from the team

A campaign cannot be drafted without its inputs, so we named them on the call. For the event campaign we needed the RSVP link and photos and video from the last event, placed in a shared Google Drive folder. The event email asks past attendees to download their photo and tag it on social. For the two recruiting campaigns we needed a walkthrough calendar link for each, because each email carries a direct booking button.

We committed to having all three campaigns drafted for review before the next filming day.

What changed

No campaign results existed at this point, since the drafts were still ahead. The system change is that the Facebook Business Page and Instagram now sit inside GoHighLevel, the three campaigns have a defined purpose and a single call to action each, and the inputs each draft depends on have an owner.

What to take from this

Give every campaign exactly one next step. A single RSVP link for an event and one booking button for each recruiting message keep the reader from choosing between options. And fix the basics that sit outside the CRM, such as the business profile, while you are already reviewing your channels.

Before you draft anything, write the same short brief for each campaign. It takes a few minutes and it exposes missing inputs early.

  • Who is the one audience for this message?
  • What is the one action you want them to take, and what is the single link for it?
  • Which photos, videos and calendar links do you need before the draft can be written, and who owns each one?
  • When is the draft due for review, and what is it due ahead of?

Frequently asked questions

What does GoHighLevel's Social Planner do for a mortgage team?

It lets you connect social accounts such as a Facebook Business Page and Instagram to the CRM and plan posts from inside it. For this team it was the starting point for three campaigns: event outreach and two recruiting campaigns.

Why use a single RSVP link for an event campaign?

One destination means every email, post and message sends people to the same place, so responses are not split across several pages. The team confirmed one RSVP page as the single destination before drafting.

Does an outdated Google Business Profile matter for a mortgage branch?

On this team it was flagged as undermining local search presence after the brand change. If your company name or branding changed, update the profile so what people see in search matches what you now send.

Why give each recruiting campaign its own booking button?

Each email carries a direct booking button tied to its own walkthrough calendar, so the person who clicks lands on the right appointment type and nobody has to ask which link to use.
